Our history
Deltec has been trading in the battery industry since 1979.
Deltec established a national distribution centre in Alrode in June 2011, incorporating the organisation’s head office functions, having outgrown the former national distribution centre in Sandton.
Hudaco
Hudaco Industries acquired Deltec following the granting of Competition Board approval on 1 July 2012. Deltec complements other Hudaco operating businesses whose core activity is importing and distributing branded industrial consumable products.
Regional distribution
Regional distribution centres were established in Cape Town in October 2007, Rustenburg in August 2009 and Pinetown in March 2010. Later, Nelspruit, George and Port Elizabeth depots were added. In 2022, Deltec started a chain of Deltec branded retail outlets in partnership with local business people nationwide.
These regional structures support a nationwide footprint of agents and dealers who provide excellent service levels to the niche markets that Deltec supplies with premium products.
